Miami - Nearby Destinations

Tourist destinations to consider near Miami are listed below. Click on any name for complete information.

Boca Raton Population: 78,069
Boca Raton, or Boca as it is called, is an upscale beach community in southeastern Florida that is the most affluent society in the Sunshine State. Tall buildings hugged by giant palms look out over the ocean while small boats sail toward cotton ball clouds on the horizon.

Everglades National Park
Few places in America are as exotic as Florida’s Everglades National Park. A mishmash of swamp and marshlands, forests and a hardwood jungle, the Everglades is home to the American alligator and to hundreds of other species that are rarely, if ever, seen elsewhere.

Fort Lauderdale Population: 170,000
The "Venice of America," Fort Lauderdale is dotted with numerous canals and waterways. With 23 miles of sandy beaches and over 3000 hours of sunshine each year, tourism is still what it’s famous for.

Key Largo Population: 12,000
Headed south on US-1 from Miami, Key Largo, home to the first underwater hotel, is the first key off the mainland of Florida. The largest and longest of the Florida Keys, it packs a punch in terms of outdoor activity.

The Florida Keys
The Florida Keys are a group of small islands running along a 126-mile line south of the tip of Florida. 42 bridges connect the 100 dots of earth in the water.
